To bid in person at the auction To be able to bid at a Chorley’s auction, you must register and obtain a bidding number (sometimes called a paddle) from our saleroom office. If you have not bid with us before, you will be asked to provide proof of identity and current address - a driving licence photocard is ideal as it has your address and photograph. Otherwise a passport and recent utility bill would be acceptable. To register for absentee bids If you are unable to attend the auction to bid in person, you can leave commission bids or register for telephone bidding or online bidding. New bidders will be asked to provide proof of identity and current address. You can do this in one of two ways:
1. Email a scan of your driving licence (must have current address) to us at enquiries@chorleys.com or 2. Submit your credit/debit card details for verification through a secure encrypted page on our website, by filling in the form below. We would ask you to make a payment of £1 (enter this as 1.00 in the amount box below) in order to have your card details checked and we will refund this payment to you. You will receive an automatic authorisation reply/receipt from SAGE PAY upon completion of the payment and will then be authorised to bid with us by any means for all future auctions.
