In light of the current health concerns, we request that all payments are made remotely prior to coming to Chorley's saleroom. Please contact us to let us know when you plan to collect, to ensure that we are open and so that your lots can be got ready for you: 01452 344499.
Unless otherwise agreed with the Auctioneers, any client with lots remaining at the saleroom later than the Friday after the auction will incur an administration charge of £10, plus storage fees of £2 per lot per day (all subject to VAT).
Packing & Postage
Chorley’s offer a packing and postage service within the UK. Please ask if this service will be available before bidding for a lot. It will not be possible to undertake any packing and postage until a week after the auction, so if you require an item urgently you may find it quicker to use a courier. We require your written or emailed authorisation to send items via Royal Mail and all liabilities remain with the buyer. This service is available at our discretion, and there are certain items we do not pack or ship including fragile ceramics and glassware, paintings or framed and glazed artwork, arms or weaponry. Once we have agreed to send your item, we will reissue your invoice including the cost of postage and packing.
Packing charges – small items that will fit in a jiffy bag will be charged at £10 per package, larger parcels sent out in cardboard boxes or tubes will be charged at £25 per package (packing charges are subject to VAT)
Postage charges – will be charged at cost
Couriers & Shippers
We are happy to provide the following details, without liability, of courier/carrier firms who may be able to arrange the collection of purchased goods; however both the insuring and carriage charge is entirely the responsibility of the buyer.
