Sir Henry Cole (1808- 1882)/County Landscapes/inscribed 'Mary Charlotte-Cole-Barley, October 1865 from her father'/three engravings framed as one, 43cm x 33cm/Note: Sir Henry Cole not only played a major part in the invention of the Penny Post but created the Christmas card. A man of prolific energy, he was in effect the creator and first Director of the Victoria and Albert Museum. He was also a talented artist studying under David Cox/Provenance: Given to Sir Roy by Christopher Gibbs
