Ernest Gimson (1864-1919) A writing cabinet on stand, circa 1910, walnut veneer on Cuban mahogany, the quarter veneered drop front, sides and top inlaid herringbone banding and carnation motifs, the interior fitted an arrangement of sixteen drawers with crescent shaped handles around a central recess with pigeonholes, the stand with pull-out supports with drop handles and central drawer with octagonal ring handles, 121cm high, 81cm wide, 43cm deep

All over good condition with minor scratches and scuffs. A little dark stain to centre. We have no reason to doubt the fact that this is a Gimson piece. Later glass  overlay top. Fitted drawers don't always run smoothly. Fall front with very slight warp
