An early 19th Century turquoise and pearl demi-parure

An early 19th Century turquoise and pearl demi-parure, comprising a fringe necklace set with oval and round cabochon turquoise and pearls, on a curb link chain, approximately 42cm long, with a conforming pair of earrings and hat pin, together with an unassociated set of turquoise and pearl set jewellery, to include a ring dated 1816, ring size H, a turquoise and pearl brooch with cannetille detail, two pairs of earrings and another oval brooch, combined weight (excluding stick pin) approximately 81g, with a note describing the turquoise was given by Lord Wenlock in 1818

Susan Buchan (nee Grosvenor, Baroness Tweedsmuir, 1882-1977) by descent from Lady Mary Lovelace (Mary Caroline Stuart-Wortley, 1848-). Lovelace was an artist, architect, writer and prominent figure in the English nobility, and was associated with the pioneering work of the Arts and Crafts movement.

Handwritten note signed M C Lovelace sent from Wentworth House. Swan Walk, Chelsea S.W. 'These turquoises were given to my grandmother by her husband, Beilby Lawley afterwards Lord Wenlock, on the birth of their eldest son A.D.1818 - she gave it in turn to her daughter/my mother on her marriage to the Hon. James Stuart Wortley A.D.1846 - My mother gave them to use on my marriage A.D.1880 - i have now given them to my niece Susan Grosvenor on her marriage with John Buchan A.D.1907'
