Both frames have old worm and are rubbed and cracked gilding, some larger splits to frame and joints both will require restoration

The portrait of Sir George has been re-lined at some point, but not recently, has a layer of dust, surface dirt and insect droppings. Overall good country house condition.Lady Elizabeth – old re-lining, signs of re touching to right hand edge, lower edge and to the area on the right of her neck where it meets her dress, this area is discoloured and has been subject to poor restoration and will require work, the face has not been re-touched,
