The sea was only six miles away, and he often sailed his yacht, Capricorn, down the East Anglian coast to paint in the estuary of the River Orwell in Suffolk.

Inscribed with title verso, areas of re-touching along top edge of board to left of mask nearer boat also re-touching to right of mask, 2cm vertical scratch towards botton right hand corner and some re-touching, re-touching two small scratches to left of mask of boat to left
