The Oman Pinnacle, a carved stone feature of tapering form with crockets, taken from Nicholas Hawksmoor's restoration of All Souls College, Oxford, in the 18th Century. Julia Trevelyan Oman's grandfather was Sir Charles Oman, a Fellow of the College, Chichele Professor of Modern History and MP for the University. The later plinth features an armorial roundel bearing the initials and dates 'C.W.C.O 1860-1946' and 'C.C.O 1901-1982' for Sir Charles William Chadwick Oman, KBE, FBA and his son Charles Chichele Oman, the father of Julia Trevelyan Oman. Total height 316cm.

Top section is loose, you can see the old mortar/cement from where it was fixed in place whilst on display at the Laskett. The pinnacle is generally quite weathered, there are some losses and chips to the crockets. Viewing recommended.
