Heals, a walnut panelled sideboard, fitted two cupboards flanking a cellaret, above two long and one square drawer, all with square chamfered knob handles, 153cm wide, on a stand with square chamfered stretchers, 158cm wide/Literature: a similar model in oak is illustrated in Modern English Furniture by J C Rogers, Country Life 1930. This cabinet is to a design by English architect Philip Tilden, who was commissioned to create a dining suite for Winston Churchill's country house Chartwell in the early 1920s, manufactured by Ambrose Heal
