The W H Smith version of this Gundle model lacks the front basket which was the generally accepted design. By repute, the rear pannier bags and 'gabled' sign were designed, in part, to ensure the bikes were not used by newspaper boys to carry passengers.

The W H Smith version of this Gundle model lacks the front basket which was the generally accepted design. By repute, the rear pannier bags and 'gabled' sign were designed, in part, to ensure the bikes were not used by newspaper boys to carry passengers.

Canvas paniers okay, painted sign above in good condition, Dunlop saddle good, frame and mud guards dirty with signs of slight corrosion, tyres poor, wheels with some surface rust but otherwise okay, pedals good (we have not ridden this bicycle!)
