Arthur W Simpson (1857-1922), Kendal, circa 1905, a pair of Arts & Crafts oak dining chairs, with a scroll over top rail above twin pierced and carved splats with plain oval detailing, with drop-in seats on octagonal tapering front legs with octagonal peg feet, the seat rails incised with 'VI' and 'VII' respectively (indicating these chairs were originally from a set of eight), 46cm wide, 102cm high, seat height 46cm
