Provenance: Miss Aline Tidswell, daughter of Robert Ingham Tidswell who married a Curtis Haywood of Quedgeley and lived for twenty years at Frampton Court before acquiring Haresfield Court in 1892 and by direct descent to the present owners
Exhibition: Royal Academy 25th Winter Exhibition The Works by the Old Masters and by deceased Masters of the British School, No 109, 1894, lent by Miss Tidswell, Haresfield Court
Literature: This picture comes with three photocopies of letters from Agnew & Sons, offering to buy ' A Harrow Gypsy' on behalf of an esteemed client who greatly admired the work
