A signed Gray-Nicolls Taverners cricket bat inscribed ‘To Johnny [Johnny Dennis] & Patricia with love from the Lords Taverners, 26th October 1985’ signed by cricketers including: Colin Cowdrey, Fred Titmus, Bill Frindall, Derek Ufton, Graham Johnson and others, the reverse with further signatures and a caricature by Bill Tidy showing majorettes marching with British and American flags accompanied by a photograph of the presentation of the bat; with an original cartoon by Bill Tidy, given to Johnny Dennis, M.C.C. Announcer, a black and white original cartoon showing a man in a trench coat eating and another running towards him captioned 'Johnny come and try these Arbroath Smokies!', 21.5cm x 30cm, marker on paper, signed lower right; further with an IHSAN ‘All Pro’ cricket bat, indistinctly signed to reverse (3)

Johnny Dennis was an actor who was chief announcer, the 'voice of Lord's' for 18 years. He announced at over 130 test matches and 250 one day internationals around the country and at Lord's.
