Bigland (Ralph) Historical, Monumental and Genealogical Collections relative to the County of Gloucester, London: John Nichols, 1786, partial volume 1 only (to Barrington Parva), tall folio, original boards, pastedown with pasted bookplate with large margins for Ralph Bigland designed by H. Copland, first free endpaper with later bookplate, inscribed to pastedown 'Bigland's copy - arms in margins by him', dedication leaf with coat of arms vignette and eight further engraved vignettes of churches, 56 hand-drawn arms to the margins in outline of which 24 are fully or partially hand-coloured,
Provenance:Inscribed to title for J. D. Niblett, Haresfield Court, Gloucestershire, 1883. Accompanied by a letter by the City of Gloucester Museums, 1967 'The County Records Office in Gloucester think that the ink drawings in this volume are contemporary with it, and were probably drawn by Richard [sic] Bigland himself
