In a gilt foliate frame. The painting has been restored and relined. Picture surface is stable. There is a clear area of in-painting to the sitter’s left sleeve, visible to the naked eye. Some craquelure throughout, especially to the sitter’s face, along with some other general, patterned areas of abrasion to the picture surface, visible in the additional images.
