An early 18th Century horn box, the oval cover with white metal armorial plaque, the armorial of six bees, the crest a beehive, 12cm wide/Provenance: Plas Gwyn, Anglesey/Note: Armorial of Price of Derwen in Denbighshire. In 1724, Elizabeth, daughter and heiress of John Price of Derwen married William Jones of Plas Gwyn, Barrister and Recorder of Beaumaris (1688-1735). William and Elizabeth had a daughter and sole heiress who married in 1756 Paul Panton of Bagillt, later of Plas Gwyn.
