Lord Ebrington was MP for Barnstaple, he was the grandson of Lord Greville PM
he served under Lord Melbourne as Lord Lt of Ireland and under Lord John Russell as Lord Steward, he was a Privy Councillor and a Knight of the Garter.
he was married firstly to Susan Ryde daughter of the 1st Lord Harrowby.
