Hartlebury Castle is a historic Worcestershire estate first given to Bishop Aelhun in 855AD. Home of the Bishops of Worcester until 2007. it has a longstanding connection with the Sandys family throughout its history.

Cheselden: Binding good with slight wear to extreminties, worm damage endpapers, preface to xiii and pages 1-3, minor worm hole up to p. 148 (one hole), page toned, not collated, foxing to endpapers and scattered foxing and spotting throughout
Bourgelat: binding a little scuffed, endpapers foxed with browned edges, a little wear to extremities, not collated, scattered foxing, pages toned
Solomon: boards scuffed, corners bumped, not collated, frontispiece imprinted on title, scattered foxing with a few minor tears not affecting text
