A George III mahogany serving table of serpentine outline, the gallery back top cross banded and banded an oval, the centre part of the frieze with a shaped panel carved an urn, grapes and vines, flanked by cornucopias of fruit and with sickles and ears of wheat, raised on six square tapering legs partly reeded and carved stalks of wheat, a brass rail over with turned supports, 275.5cm wide, 107cm deep (max), 90cm high (front), 133cm high (back rail supports)

A Gloucestershire Country House

Uprights holding the brass rails a little loose. The surface of the table in overall good condition commensurate with age and use having some areas naturally occurring cracking within the mahogany. Minor losses to boxwood stringing to the front edge of the top, the top is not fixed to the base. The legs and frieze have applied ears of corn and fruit etc (one ear of corn detached but presen. Knocks and dents to legs in line with age and use

Overall good condition and would clean up well.

Please note this is a large serving table having been until recently in a large private Gloucestershire home.
