A Sevres porcelain plate, circa 1810, painted with a bouquet of summer flowers within a floral and gilt border, 23.5cm (9.5") diameter/Note: This plate may be from the service commissioned by the Queen of Bavaria and delivered in stages between 1808 and 1810, with the exception of twenty-four plates. The plates were given as part of a gift of porcelain by Napoleon I to Maximilien-Joseph, the King of Bavaria whose daughter married the Emperor's stepson Eugene de Beauharnais. A few pieces from the service are retained at the Residenz, Munich./Provenance: Lydney Park, Gloucestershire
