The demand for 20th Century artwork and furniture continues to grow at a rapid rate, and Chorley’s twice-yearly auction dedicated to this period will include works by well-known artists and designers well-known to all. Eames chairs and Tom Dixon lamps complement an eclectic mix of paintings and prints by artists as diverse as Patrick Heron, Gerald Laing, Keith Vaughan, Walter Sickert and Augustus John.
Studio pottery continues to perform well at auction and we are pleased to offer pieces by John Maltby, Phil Rogers, Michael Cardew and Alan Caiger-Smith.
Lalique and Baccarat glass vie for attention with Scandinavian art glass. A pair of stunning stained glass windows by Belgian artist Bernard Tirtiaux updates an Arts & Crafts tradition with a 1970s twist and a sparkling Murano chandelier will bring Italian style to any residence.
Vintage jewellery and fashion add another dimension to the sale and include an eye-catching group of clothing and bags by Mulberry.
Furniture ranges from Art Deco through to contemporary, including an eye catching 'Homage to Andy Warhol' stool modelled as a Campbells soup tin.
