a selling exhibition of paintings by Allan Laycock R.W.A.

Allan is primarily a landscape artist, and paints in situ, rarely in a studio, using acrylics as a watercolour medium. He has exhibited all over the West Country and is a Royal West of England Academician.  Much of Allan’s current work features the Cotswolds, although excursions as far afield as New Zealand have produced some exciting views. His subject matter is usually a rural scene, but from the less familiar viewpoint, painted ‘on the day, as it is’ with delightful spontaneity and authenticity.

Chorley’s are delighted to host this exhibition of 90 works of art, marking the occasion of the artist’s 90th birthday and raising money for the Artists’ Benevolent Fund.
