Vacancy | Saleroom Manager & Photographer



Chorley’s are a leading regional firm of Auctioneers and Valuers, holding regular sales of Fine Art & Antiques in the beautiful grounds of Prinknash Abbey Park, near Cranham, Gloucestershire.  We are looking to take on an additional member of our team, to assist our existing saleroom staff.

Please note, the role involves a considerable amount of physical work, including heavy lifting.

Principal duties:

  • managing saleroom staff
  • moving and arranging furniture, paintings and antiques within the saleroom
  • inventory control and organisation of the storage areas
  • assisting clients with the delivery and collection of lots
  • photographing items, editing images and uploading to website
  • managing saleroom IT including computers and telephones

Desired attributes:

  • previous auction experience
  • good computer and photographic skills
  • clean driving licence
  • tidy appearance, open and friendly manner
  • good work ethic with a willingness to go the extra mile when needed
  • ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment

Standard hours Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (longer hours and some weekend work during auction weeks)

Salary dependent on age and experience
